Ole Torstensen Moe

He was born in 1796, probably on the small place Brennseter under Moe farm. He was baptized May 1st. Parents were Torsten Gjermundsen Brennseter and Gunbor Ledvorsdatter. They had married March 18, 1786, and Torsten was the son of Gjermund Knudsen Brennseter.

Ole married
Sept 11, 1829 to Ingeborg Jacobsdatter, who was born Nov 14th 1790 by parents Jacob Hansen and Margit Olsdatter. Ingeborg is not found born in Gjerpen, but in 1801 the parents are found as cottagers under Berberg farm in Gjerpen. Jacob is then 49 and Margit is 47 years old. They have the children Halvor 15, Ingeborg 11, Naren 8, Liv 5 and Pernelle 2.
Ole and Ingeborg had the following children:
Gunhild Maria – born Oct 3, 1830
Jacob – born May 31, 1836
Both children were born on Eriksrød under Moe.
They also had a boy, Jacob, born before they got married. He was born
May 28, 1823, and may have died young.

In 1835 (census) the family is found on Braanan under Eriksrød

10 years later, in 1845 (census) they still live under Eriksrød:
